Published reviews from our Airbnb page where we average a perfect 5 star rating: This place exceeded all expectations! It is in a beautiful scenic part of the island and the house itself is perfect! The banana theme is whimsical but everything is up-to-date, clean, and makes for a great experience. We look forward to visiting again.”

“Rob & Bob’s cozy “Banana” cottage is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy all the area has to offer. You will be charmed by the interior decor and enjoy the surrounding banana plantation. You will have everything you need and more for your stay and we particularly enjoyed the enclosed front porch in the mornings with our coffee and evenings with a cold glass of wine. Simply a great place!

“We appreciated everything you have put together within the cottage including the well thought out blue book. It was definitely a great help to finding things to do around the area. I was mostly impressed with how clean and organized the cottage was specially with all the essential we needed for our stay. I would most definitely come back and stay here & would let everyone that I know who plan to come here to stay at this beautiful cottage. It was absolutely just perfect for what we needed.

This was the best Airbnb experience we ever had! Great cottage with awesome location with everything that you need to enjoy your vacation. Rob & Bob created a handful guide which we found useful (they also have tons of big Island guide books). All the equipment is excellent, we had a loy of fun using their snorkeling equipment which was much better than what you would expect. The kitchen is well equipped, nothing was missing, we didn’t use it for anything expect breakfast but it contains everything that you might need for a short vacation. You can’t describe in words how much this place is banana themed, you have to see it with your own eyes to understand it We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this place to anyone that we care about :-)”

“Very convenient to lava viewing, we rented bikes at start of hike. Also great for exploring all the Puna coastal area ponds. Very nice place as described on web, very clean. Loved the screened porch with ocean view for eating and relaxing. Kitchen well stocked. Hosts communicated well, easy to find place, easy to check in. Love the banana decor.”

“Everything about our stay at Bananarama was made perfect by Rob and Bob. This is cottage is impeccable, and so is its location. The pictures do not do it justice. Our hosts were always available for any questions, and made us feel completely welcome as first-time visitors to Hawaii. This place has it all! From wonderful fresh fruit, a convenient location, black-sand beaches, tide pools, lava, and so much more. We had an amazing time, and will surely be back again.”

Fantastic! The place is adorable, comfy and has everything you need for your stay. Rob and Bob are the nicest hosts ever. As a plus you can learn all about bananas in Hawaii and taste some too. You will feel welcomed and at ease, falling asleep to the sound of little frogs. Close to black sand beach, hikes and LAVA!”

We absolutely loved Bananarama! The cottage was exactly like the pictures and even more wonderful in person. Rob and Bob were so welcoming, leaving us fresh fruit from their farm and beautiful flowers. In addition they gave us great suggestions such as where to eat, when to see the lava and where to go snorkeling. When it rained on our last day they even gave us some great rainy day activities. We would love to go back and stay at the cottage next time we return to Hawaii!”

“I cannot recommended the Banarama highly enough. It’s an amazing cottage in one of my favorite places in the world. Rob and Bob have thought of everything a traveler might need and their labeling systems, directions and explanations are on point and easy to understand. They also know the area really well and their book of recommendations is stellar. The furnishings are really nice. The décor is super fun and well put together. The craftsmanship of the cottage is high quality and very well taken care of. At this point in our travels my wife and I have stayed in 10+ Airbnbs (in multiple States and countries) and we have not stayed at nicer home than the Banarama cottage.
